How to Download Your Frame TV Art After You Buy

Our art is a digital file. Nothing is shipped: no TV, no frame and no print. After payment you download the file and put it on your TV. This guide shows how.

Where to find your download button

Right after payment, your order page shows a "Download your art" button for each artwork you bought.

The button downloads the original JPG at once: 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K), 16:9.

We also send an order confirmation email to the address you gave at checkout. Its "Open your downloads" button opens the same order page, so keep the email and you can download the art again at any time.

On an iPhone or iPad

  1. On your order page, tap "Download your art".
  2. Tap Download.
  3. Open the Files app and go to Downloads.
  4. Tap the picture, tap the Share button, and choose Save Image.

The art is now in your Photos app, ready for the TV app.

On an Android phone

  1. On your order page, tap "Download your art".
  2. The picture is saved in your Downloads folder. It also shows up in your Gallery or Google Photos.

The names of the apps and buttons differ a little per phone, but the steps are the same.

On a computer

  1. On your order page, click "Download your art".
  2. The JPG is saved in your Downloads folder.

From there you have two options:

  • For a TV with a USB port: copy the JPG to a USB stick and plug it into the TV.
  • For a TV app on your phone: send the JPG to your phone, for example with AirDrop, a cloud drive or a cable, and save it to your photos.

What file do you get?

You get one JPG for every artwork you buy. It is 3840 x 2160 pixels, in the 16:9 shape of a TV screen. It is the original file, exactly as we made it. We do not add a watermark or a border. The watermark you see on the product photos is only there on the photos.

If you buy a set of art, the order page has a button for every file in it. Large sets come as ZIP files; open the ZIP to get the JPG files.

If the email is missing

You need the email only to download again later: right after payment, the order page already has your buttons.

  1. Wait a few minutes. Sometimes an email takes a little while.
  2. Look in your spam, junk or promotions folder.
  3. Search your inbox for "Caracal TV Art".
  4. Check the email address you typed at checkout. A small typo means the email went somewhere else.

Still nothing? Send us a message through the Contact page. Tell us your order number, or the name and email address you used at checkout, and we will send you the link again.

If the link or the file does not work

First try once more on a computer, or in a different browser. Some email apps open links in a small built-in browser that cannot save files. If that happens, open the link in your normal browser, such as Safari or Chrome.

If it still does not work, contact us. If the file is faulty, for example it will not open or it is not the artwork you bought, we will send you a new file or refund you. Our refund policy has the details.

Keep a copy

Keep the order email, so you can download the art again later, for example for a new TV. A copy of the JPG on a cloud drive or your computer is handy too. The file is for your own use, on your own screens. Please do not share it or sell it. Our terms of service explain the license.

Next: put it on your TV

When the file is on your phone or computer, the last step is the TV. How to Add Your Own Art to a Frame TV walks you through it, with the SmartThings app and with a USB stick.

A note for buyers in the EU

At checkout you agree that the download starts right away. Because of that, the 14-day right to cancel ends once the download starts. The refund policy explains this, and your order email repeats it.
